How to Build Brand Awareness for Better Exposure

Brand awareness plays a huge role in marketing. In fact, it is one of the major reasons why certain color or logos are just more recognizable or more iconic. McDonald’s red and yellow colors or the M cannot be mistaken for any other. The same is the case for the logos of different brands like Nike, Slazenger, Adidas, Reebok, Gucci, Prada and more.

One of the main reasons why brand awareness for them is so high is that these brands have had years to develop their brand and get noticed by their consumers. Luckily, with social media and online marketing, raising brand awareness isn’t difficult anymore. If you’re considering building brand awareness for better exposure, take a look at the following tips:

1.   Sponsor Events

Many brands gain exposure by opting to sponsor charitable events. Pick a cause that your business identifies with and pitch in with their event. Whether you’re working with helping adopt pets, rescue work, providing food or shelter to the homeless or hosting a charity run, sponsoring such events can help to garner awareness for your products and brand as well. Often times, most local charities are more than happy to provide sponsorship opportunities for businesses.

2.   Show Your Work Culture

When it comes to raising brand awareness, you can show off your business culture. One of the main reasons why people like Apple, Microsoft, Google, and Facebook’s offices is due to the fact that not only are these companies known for their innovative approach to technology, their offices and work environment are renowned to have the same aura as well. Moreover, all these brands are very open about how they came into being and their stories resonate with various innovators and underdogs.

3.   Be Active on Social Media

Being active on social media can also help raise brand awareness for your products and services. Facebook and Twitter are traditional social media platforms but SnapChat completely revolutionized exposure with their live story outcome. With over 400 million videos and photos shared per day that garners a total of 10 billion views per day, SnapChat gives a huge amount of exposure to businesses. Moreover, Instagram and Messenger have also embraced the live video streaming and photo sharing options and have launched out beta versions of these to test the demand in the market.

4.   Share Unique Content

One of the largest ways to draw exposure to your brand is by sharing content that is unique. Since a large number of businesses have social media accounts, one way you can stand out is through having unique content. Corporate Twitter accounts of businesses like Denny’s, Wendy’s, Taco Bell and more don’t just share unique content; they also interact with their target audience in a unique manner. In fact, certain interactions by Wendy’s are going viral, that are helping the brand gain exposure.

5.   Collaborate with Other Organizations

At the end of the day, it’s all about teamwork so don’t be afraid to collaborate with other organizations. Working with businesses that not only work in your industry but also share your values and morals can often be a win-win situation. Not only will you gain exposure, but you will also learn from the other business and grow in other ways too.
